When you say stripped hair of Dye, do you mean you had put a dye product on your hair and removed it Or do you mean you bleached out your normally dark hair to as far as the ginger color??? IF you just had dark dye on your hair and removed it you might want to do another week of conditioning before you put more chemicals on your hair.
If you have long hair it is very hard to get it stripped out to true blonde in one stripping. Ginger is the color befor blonde when you are bleaching. If you want blonde, and have no sensitive areas on your head from the first bleach, it is OK to bleach again in one week, watch it closely you don't want to frizz and melt your hair into cotton candy. If you have access to a beauty supply store, buy the 20 volume cream bleach, and use the Wellite creme lightener and creme lightener activator, they are sold together in one box, I use 4 oz, cream bleach, add 2 envelopes of powdered activator, shake vey well or it will have lumps, then add , 2 oz of creme lightetner oil, and shake well again. I have a dispenser bottle I got from the Beauty supply store that I mix this in that has a nozzle head on the bottle so you can squeeze the cream stuff out like a lotion, it is thick enough it doesn't run down my neck, You part of the hair starting at the crown, doing the roots first, I go doen the back, part down the middle and go left , then right, then go to the top of my head and work forward to forehead, be sure to get side burn area behind you ears and back of the neck hair line. as soon as you are finished with the roots pull the solution thru all of your hair for just this one more time since you are trying to pull all the hair lighter, check hair every 2 or 3 minutes until you can see the hair has lightened. approx 8 to 10 minutes, Your hair will still have slight ginger color when it is wet but will dry blonde. I never add any color back to my hair I leave it as it comes out, it looks more natural this way. I also use a lot of conditioner afer every bleach and after every wash, I don't use a lot of hot comb, curling Iron or hot curlers as they tend to dry already fragile hair. I have been doing this for 25 years, after the first month of trying to get long hair all bleached out I have only to do the roots so I don't let any bleach get on already bleached hair. My hubby actually applies it for me now, but if i have to do it my self, I put thick conditioner on the hair i don't want bleached out any further to protect the hair ends. and when my hair is short I have a couple of times even had perms so my hair is NOT damaged...

I always dye my own, and here are a couple of tips:
Your hair won't fall out if you go ahead and dye it, so don't worry about that. If it's dry and feels like straw, get some conditioner and it will be better. (I like Aveda Rosemary Mint)
Another thing, to cut the orangy-red, you can easily go darker, but if you want it blonde, go to a beauty supply store and not the drugstore. There are total bleachout kits, which could leave it pale banana color or maybe a punky blonde, but I'd recommend Wella Color Charm
medium ash blonde with a green base that will balance out the orange.
Ask at the beauty supply store for advice.

Semi permament colours are good to use like crazy colour and directions, this type of dye is not damaging you can put it on as much as you want. It doesn't contrain any peroxid. If ur hair is allready damaged I would sugest using a conditionin treatment, such as nioxen this will repair ur hair.

leave it on for a week or so, depending on how effective the hair dye is.
also since it is not always good for you to dye ur hair u could also try to use herbal kind of dyes. They are good for ur hair and ive heard that they keep in the color longer :)
hope it works out for u!

I would recommend going to a professional. If that is not an option, I would use a semi-permanent color in a lighter color than what you desire. Being that you stripped your hair, it is now porous and will be more absorbent to color which means it will process a lot quicker than normal and may be darker than you want.
