This is a command from Jesus Christ:

not sure what you mean. The Pope isn't trying to change the world. He only prays that the world will change in time.

Because Jesus gave Him the Keys to the Kingdom to do just that...Mt 16;19.
Pope Benedict XVI is following the Great Commission of the Apostles on Pentecost of 2000 years ago.
Honestly, Jesus has changed humanity GREATLY since then.

An intelligent person would have explained WHAT the pope wanted to change - he sure hasn't changed his stance on condoms or cloning or female priests or marriage for the blokes.

He is asking for us to look at the way we live... which is part of his job.
Just because the world "doesn't want" to change, doesn't mean that it shouldn't. We sure have screwed up a lot of things as a human race... and we need to address that.

his job is to teach people faith. hes not trying to change the world. just help the people in it.
