i love her to death,
i'm 13, she's 5,
but its kind of awkward.
i am her favorite uncle.

That's so cute! All kids fall in love with un-attainable people at one time or another. My cousin is intent on marrying Donald Duck right now and won't take no for an answer. Just gently remind that you are her uncle not her husband. Offer to play a game with her or something... keep being her friend and continue to gently but firmly tell her that you love her as a niece. Try and explain the difference between romance love and family love. Good luck!

Just tell her that you love her.
She's five.
She has no real idea what a crush is.
Don't freak out or make a big deal of it. Chances are, six months from now she won't remember saying this to you.

She is only 5...its normal for her to have a crush on you. Tell her mom. She will probably also tell you its normal.

i think that's probably normal, she's young and doesn't understand a familial link and it is something that will definitely pass. when my little cousins were younger (around 5) one of them asked his mom if you can marry your cousin. i would just go on acting normal but don't encourage any of her "crush" feelings.
