Apart from standing on a pile of them (yes, that would make you "taller"!) they probably don't have any more benefit than any other plant you might eat. All contain nutrients of some sort, it's just the amounts and types within them that vary. Bamboo is a good source of fiber and potassium (helps maintain a good blood pressure and heart rate).

You'll probably get the most benefit from eating a variety of foods, so you get a good mix of the nutrients each offers.

should you be lost in the jungle in childhood, and only survive by nibbling on bamboo for 2 weeks - then you can probably credit your future growth to it, yes!
