It's very good! (The last stanza doesn't rhyme. But I can't figure out a way to put in 'suet' to rhyme with 'do it' either.) Years ago I fell in with a group of young fundamentalists. (Well, you see, there was this girl . . .) I found they all had some story to tell of their past! "I was addicted. I was selling my body for dope. I was stealing from my parents. And then I found Jesus." Something like that. I figured that my problem was that I'd never done any of these things. I'm not perfect, of course, but I was never so desperately bad, so -lost- that I needed rescuing!

Not that I'm Catholic, but I've often wondered what priests named William thought of that particular poem.
