My mommy made chicken noodle soup and we want to know if we can still eat it...what is the approximate amount of time that this soup will still be edible? The chicken was fresh when first made.

* If its store bought canned soup: Until a week before the expiration date of the can, starting from the purchase date.

*If it's home made, after 3 days it should be discarded of because that's when unhealthy bacteria begins to set in, creating mold spores long before you see the furry rainbow action on the top.

Hope this helps!

Don't keep it in the fridge longer than 7 days and always heat it up to at least 165 to make sure it is safe to eat.

if you refrigerate (obviously) about a week best between 4-5 days though. My parents own a restaurant and I do it all the time.
