Ok so here's the story.. My boy and I have been together for a year and in two days we are flying to hawaii for my birthday together. About a month ago, we got back together after being broken up for 2 weeks, and we got in a fight we were yelling at one another and the next thing I know he comes over and kicks the chair I am sitting in over, next he grabs me and pulls me inside and everytime I tried to leave he would grab my arms, the next day my elbow was scrabbed and I had bruises up and down both my arms, he started crying the next day when I showed him and promised it would never happen again, and I don't know if I can trust him???? Can a guy really change his temper or will the nice guy only last for awhile and things will continue to happen

Aloha. You need to trust your gut instincts with him. By the way you wrote the last sentence, I have a feeling you know the answer. Of course a guy can change his temper. If he recognizes that he needs to change his temper for himself, then he will change. If he is only changing his temper for you, then he will do it again. I am sorry, but some guys will just say anything for the time being, just so that you will not give them a hard time, and as a result get what he wants from you. Since in two days, you are leaving for Hawaii, you are probably going to go with him. You always find out more about a person when you travel with them. I have a feeling that his true colors finally came out. I would take this as one of those red flags that tells you that you need to watch out. A man has no right to put his hands on you for any reason. If he was a man, then he would be a man to take his *** out and take a walk before he lays a single finger on you!! I don't care if he does cry. Please trust your instincts and be strong, You are so worth it.

He's dangerous...avoid him. Someone who acts on impulse when he's angry is someone who doesn't have control over himself....that is, his feelings have control over him. Whenever his feelings are negative towards you, if there is no outward restraint on his behavior, he will act on his feelings again. Beware. I am concerned for your safety. I don't doubt that he does really want to continue the relationship with you and was sorry for what he did or that he really does mean not to ever let it happen again, but apparently his angry impulses and angry feelings are stronger than his good intentions towards you when you two fight, so you can expect his feelings to rule, the next time a fight occurs (if no one/nothing is around to stop him).

I don't like to be with a guy who uses violence to solve problems..... you guys r just bf /gf now and he treats you like that.... what if oneday you become his wife, what else will he do to you when he gets upset ....

I am not saying that he can never change, so what u should do is talk to him about it, that you don't like him to use violence with you nemore..... then you can tell if he really changes or not after the next flights

Move on. Thiese guys never get it... and they generally get worse unless they get counseling. It is a sickness.
