i had a one nite fling wit my best guy friend and i just found out i'm 7 weeks along. he would be the father. how would i tell him that i'm expecting. he has a 14 year old daughter already. would it be fair of me to tell him that i won't go after him for child support and that he can walk away if he wants to? how would you handle this. also how do i tell my parents? he is way older then me and by like 7 years.

No, the child is also his which means that unless you have enough money and support to beable to raise the child, then you will need some money & support from him. When telling your parents, just come out with it and tell them, no matter what, they'll always love you. You sound like a pretty sensible person, weighing up all the possible solutions and what would be right & fair for him and yourself, but in this case you should make the final decision about what happens, after all you are carrying the child. I hope everything works out. :)

I'm really on the fence about this one because a friend of mine was murdered by the man she was pregnant by (since she was in her 3rd trimester, he's charged with two counts of murder.) He did not want her to have the child. Everyone said "It's not in his nature" or " I never thought he could do that." If you want nothing from him, then I don't really see any reason to tell him. Maybe you can ask him if he forsees having more children in the future.

I'm not saying the same will become of you, but for the safety of yourself & your child, as long you don't want anything from him, there's really no need to get him involved. If he asks, be honest.

You have to tell him. It's the law. How doesn't really matter. Send him an email. And talk to a lawyer to protect your child's rights. It's not really about you or him. It is about the child.
