I am dying so hard to give my tithe to my Father in Heaven-THE ALMIGHTY GOD.
However, i am at the same time not sure how to do so, harbouring a strong feeling that my offerings to GOD, are likely to be misappropriated by say; church pastors if given directly to them (pastors or the likes).
Please, suggest to me some of the ways i could really see my offerings benefit the intended, or to make me feel my tithe is well received by GOD.
Thanks.

tithe for me means time and not money.give 10percent of your time to God rather, because the more time you give, the more time you would want to give ,eventualy it will be all you want to do.only then will you experience heaven on earth.you will understand your purpose, you will constantly be in conversation with God,your troubles will disappear from you and you will come to the selfrealization that this is your creation and you must look after it and so establish your kingdom of heaven on earth

well, God doesn't want money, it's like the Bible story, that little poor lady gave all she ad which was a half a penny and then the rich guy gives like alot. I belive that that is an example is us from God that He just cares about our sacrifices, not money. So maybe if you're worried about the pastor gitting your tiths, maybe you could feed God's childern such as helping out or teaching in the childernes ministry. I'm just a teen without a job so it's jkinda hard for me to tith so I tithed my time to do so. I helped out in the nursey for a year and ran it for another year, now I'm helping out in the older grades class (6th-8th) and hope to teach in a few years. You can also offer to clean the church or be on the worship team or something of the sort. that's a way you can give your tiths to GOD. I really hpe this helped. and remeber, tithig means sacrifice. not nesiceraly money. God bless and Merry CHRISTmas!

Kiruga,
Tithing was an Old Testament Command. The New Testament tells that we are to give as we have been prospered and that the first century Christians did so on the first day of the week. Once You have died, YOU do not fall under any obligation to give any more. That obligation would/should fall on your heirs. The Church that YOU speak of is under an obligation to use the money as GOD has directed them to do. Those monies should be used as the first century Churches were directed to use their funds. Have a great day and a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

Stop a second. To Whom does your tithe belong, once it's given? To you or to God? He is almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, and all those other wonderful things He is. He can take care of Himself and His money. Trust Him to do this.

Pray about it. Ask Him where He wants your tithe. The answer He gives you may be totally different from the one He's given me. Pray about it, and don't forget to listen, too!

He's made it clear to me that the tithe from my regular paycheck needs to go to my local church. However, the tithe from some less-regular income (crafts sales and the like) is to go elsewhere. He's led me to give those tithes to a local Christian ministry to the poor and/or homeless. Pray about it and really listen to His answer.

I personally do not like or agree with tithing to individuals (ministers and missionaries and such) but have occasionally been led to do just that. (Of course I did what He asked; God is under no obligation to respect my little likes. I, however, have definitely put myself under obligation to respect His by acknowledging Him as Lord and Master!) God will tell you where to put His money. Listen for His Voice and pray that you recognize it when you hear it.

Well, if you really want to do something worthy of the Lord, you'll need to invest a little more of your time and energy into it. Try to do some research especially around your own community for places to help. Do the old folks in the nearest retirement home need extra blankets? By them some. Does the family living in the south side need a little extra help with medical bills? Relieve them. Ask around, you'll find so many places to contribute to.

the giving of the tithe is simple. 1/10th of your income is to be given to your place of worship. if you don't have one, you need to decide which church you feel most comfortable with. whether the tithe is used for proper purposes by the pastor and the church is not your problem as long as you have given of yourself as a symbol of your love and faithfulness to GOD. HE will take care of anyone who uses money inappropriately at the day of judgement.

A tithe was an old covenant requirement, and was a tenth of the increase of produce and / or livestock, and never wages. In any event, the tithes went to the Levites, and not to God. The Levites were supposed to give a tenth of this to the priests who served at the temple, and this is what God describes as Him being robbed in Malachi.

You cannot give anything to God. He owns it all. If you want to do good, then give to the poor.

Acts 10:1 ¶There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

If a minister claims you should be tithing to him, you are dealing with a wolf.

I cannot emphasize enough how easy it is to be deceived on this and many other issues.

I give to my students.....the ones whom I teach and the ones I do not teach. I buy their school supplies. I give them money for food. I but them toys and treats. I but clothes and shoes for them.

These students are poor. They live in the projects. Many are from one parent homes. Many have no one to REALLY love and care for them. They get themselves up in the morning. They have breakfast at school. No one fixes supper for them. They get what they can.
