Authorities did not say the jet "vaporized." That incorrect claim was made by the conspiracy folks.

1. The jet was a 757, not a 707
2. Enormous plane debris was found. It did not vaporize:

Clear wreckage of a plane was found & photographs were printed in all the papers. Here's a nice photo from 9/11 that clearly shows plane wreckage:

(scroll down after clicking).

In addition the “American Society of Civil Engineers” (they’re non-governmental) investigated the Pentagon crash & issued this report:
http://www.fire.nist.gov/bfrlpubs/build03/PDF/b03017.pdf

The report contains abundant references to plane debris & body parts found in the Pentagon. For example, on page 26 it says:

“The remains of most of the passengers on the aircraft were found near the end of the travel of the aircraft debris. The front landing gear (a relatively solid and heavy object) and the flight data recorder (which had been located near the rear of the aircraft) were also found nearly 300 ft into the structure. By contrast, the remains of a few individuals (the hijacking suspects), who most likely were near the front of the aircraft, were found relatively close to the aircraft’s point of impact with the building."

3. The engine is not stamped out of a solid block of titanium or any other metal. It's made of thousands of parts that are connected together by welds or connectors. When it hit the Pentagon, which is made of reinforced conrete that was hardened to be blast-resistent, it was smashed to pieces.

4. The engine does have titanium in it, but titanium is WEAKER than most steel alloys & is only about twice as strong as alumuninum.

5. These engines are in many ways, fragile. Spinning at speeds up to 10,000 RPM, they sometimes blow up spontaneously. On Nov 11, 2007 the engine of a 737 exploded in flight.

THE WINGS DEFINITELY MARKED THE WALLS OF THE PENTAGON

Although internet movies claim no marks were made on the walls, they are simply lying to you, as they do most of the time.

Just click on the following link to see “The Pentagon Building Performance Report,” which is the official investigation by the American Society of Civil Engineers” (they’re NOT affiliated with the government)

The following color photos can be seen:

Fig 5.11 shows debris scars south of the hole
Fig 5.12 shows gashes in the wall from the right wing
Etc, etc.

It wasnt a 707 but a 757 I believe, but anything that weighs 250,000 lbs going well over 350 mph (probably higher) fully loaded with Kerosen (Jet Fuel) thats a lot of energy that is hitting a reinforced building and partially the ground. Now when that energy hits something that stops that fast. Its going melt metal instantly and not necessarily vaporize. But alot of things are gonna burn and melt and gonna make a lot of tiny pieces.

I lost two people I knew who were on that plane. So, it isn't an academic exercise to me. I went to their funeral. And in the six years which have passed I have yet to hear any government official say the plane vaporized. I would sure like to know where this sort of nonsense gets its origins from!

From what i know most of the a/c did vaporize on impact or soon after the massive fire didn't help.
There were a few parts you could see what they were but not much.
It was a 757 BTW..
