Love is different for every person. I think that when you find the right person and there is this strong connection between the two of you that no one or anything can break, then you know you have found love. a lot of people think its only when you you care about some one, etc. but like i said it is different for every one. so if you don't feel that special connection then there is probably not love their.

Love is a completeness of yourself combined with the completeness of your significant other. "The purpose of relationships is to get you closer to who you really are and to decide what parts of yourself you'd like to see show up rather than what part of another you can capture and control." Neale D. Walsch. To me that means that love in a relationship allows you to discover more about yourself in every field. If two people be the best they can be individually, they give more to their partner.

Love is to give someone your heart and hoping they will not kill it. In a realtionship of couples its willing to share all, give yourself and only to that person, be there whenever they need you. and not leave them at the first sign of trouble. In a friendship it being there when you rather be anywhere else. Sacrificing something to ehlp your buddy or your girlfriend when they need a shoulder to cry on. and then there is family, knowing that when there is trouble they will band together to come out on top and to remind you of your embarrasing moments haha

Love is...
It is love when the partner’s happiness is important to you. The more important, the more in love you are. Sometimes it reaches the point where the partner’s happiness is more important than you own: true love? Lust is when it is all about how you feel and he/she is just a means to an end.
In a real sense, Love is. It just is. (ZEN?)

"Love is the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth." from "The Road Less Traveled" - Scott Peck - 1978
Best definition I've ever heard.
Hope this helps!!

It is the same for all aspects. Being a best friend and companion, a soul mate, someone you can trust and depend on, fits all categories.

To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much hapiness. I hope you're getting this down.
