This is a matter of hardware not software, no program can amplify your speakers or make them produce more bass. ie you need a better amp/receiver to drive your speakers. Adding a subwoofer will obviously give you the bass boost. If this for a computer, it still applies, the line that you'd plug headphones and/or your current speakers into, would just go to your amp/receiver and from there onto your speakers.

---------
the fact that your speakers "can" handle more bass doesnt mean whatever is driving them (your computer) has the power to deliver it, no software is going to increase the strength of that output. I do not know world's about computer sound cards and the like but even on that fron you're still talking hardware, this is something you're going to need to coin up for, not download.

You should experiment with the placement of the subwoofer. The subwoofer should rest directly on the floor, with the port firing within 5 or 6 inches of a wall. The wall reinforces the bass frequencies. (If the subwoofer is currently sitting on your desk, that might be part of the problem.) Normally, putting a subwoofer in the corner of the room would be even better, however, because the subwoofer on the Z506 is small, it probably produces some higher frequency sounds, which are directional. Thus, you may be forced to keep the subwoofer positioned more centrally between the satellite speakers.

James is pretty much right, but if you use a computer, try the equalizer of WMP11 as well.
Open WMP11

Click the right button over the menu bar and go to
View->Enhancements

Pick either SRS WOW or the Graphic Equalizer and see if any of the settings can improve your bass.
