Being asked when can you start, how much are you asking for, and to fill out paperwork can be standard in some companies and hiring signs in others. However, the interviewer can give subtle hints that the candidate will probably be hired. During the interview, the interviewer describes the first day of orientation, wording of the questions turn from "how can you ..." to "when can you ...", or the farewell is very positive like, "I look forward to seeing you next Monday."

If they check your references, it's a good sign. Other than that, it's hard to tell, since some interviewers come off very positive to everyone, and others don't really give you a clue.

its hard to tell these days especially around the holidays .

but usually if interview goes really positive you have an idea if your geting the job or not . but no way to tell for sure if you did or didn't .

but if you don't hear from them in weeks its a good sign you didn't get job
