"The spiritual training of Jesus

In the Himalayan fastnesses Jesus was instructed in yoga and the highest spiritual life, receiving the spiritual name "Isha," which means Lord, Master, or Ruler, a descriptive title often applied to God, as in the Isha Upanishad. Isha is also a particular title of Shiva.19

The worship of Shiva centered in the form of the natural elliptical stone known as the Shiva Linga (Symbol of Shiva) was a part of the spiritual heritage of Jesus, for His ancestor Abraham, the father of the Hebrew nation, was a worshipper of that form. The Linga which he worshipped is today enshrined in Mecca within the Kaaba. The stone, which is black in color, is said to have been given to Abraham by the Archangel Gabriel, who instructed him in its worship..."

So you are suggesting an Abrahamic branch of Hinduism.

Look Prophet Ahraham was not an idol worshiper at first place, you will be pleased to know that his ancestors were but Abraham was an idol-breaker who developed strong reasoning for shunning idol worshiping.

He was of opinion that
…that which is not creator but itself created does not stand worthy to be God
…that which cannot listen cannot be of any good to humans,
…that which cannot hear you cannot profit human beings.

For clarification:
- Abraham indeed got a black stone, which was placed in Khan’e Kaba (At the Holy Mosque) but Muslims do not worship that stone from Paradise.

- Jesus has nothing to do with social class racist religion like Hinduism – Yoga cannot teach that which Jesus Christ taught the world.

Any Abrahamic religion in its original form cannot promote idol worshiping as it goes against the Abrahamic beliefs about God, in the very basics.

Hopefully, this clarifies your confusion please.

Not necessarily and I doubt it, though it is difficult to prove a negative.

In my opinion, the evidence on this link may indicate early missionary activity in India by Jewish Christians. The stories preserved in India may relate to their preaching. There are other independent sources including the Syriac Acts of Judas Thomas and the other Apostolic Acts which suggest that some of the disciples preached in India. The coincidence is very interesting historically.

Is there anyone actively researching this subject?

The principles in the bible are totally contrary to the Hindu principles:

No reincarnation - It is appointed once for a man to die and then comes judgment.

No good works to get to heaven - Only Jesus' death on the cross can get someone to heaven.

It doesn't matter if you eat meat or not - Jesus said that what defiles a man comes from within, not what he eats. What comes out of man is murder, lies, thefts, adultery, fornication's, greed and things like that.

I dont know about jesus converting to Hinduism but I have heard of a Muslim shrine in Kashmir devoted to a Bin Yusef( or son of Joseph) who is said to have appreared out of the west & worked miracles. There is also a 'Christian' sect in southern Iran, close to Pakistan, who claim to have recieved their teachings from a Hebrew dissidant on the run. Makes for thought prevoking stuff.
