Consider the fact that ALL religions are fake. They invent myths. In reality, everyone is an Atheist.

Why Christians celebrate Christmas just like Atheists.

The true meaning of Christmas, for religious people, is said to be found in the worship of the Baby Jesus, the God-child who is coming to save mankind from sin and evil, in the simplicity of a Midnight Mass, in the solidarity with the injustices and sufferance of the world’s oppressed by poverty, war or disease. Thus, Christmas should be a time of quiet and thankful rejoicing for being among those who are actually spared, so far, by oppression, war, and disease. The true religious people advocate atonement and solidarity with those who suffer at this time. Christmas is a time that reminds us of giving aid to the unfortunate ones.

One cannot deny, however, that even among the strictest order of Christian monks, even among the most ascetic communities of early Christians, the celebration of the birth of the Messiah was a time of profoundly selfish and personal satisfaction in the belief that one day the greatest of all the great gifts possible to men would be delivered to us, personally, to our very own self, our immortal soul deserving of the ultimate pleasure of being united with God. In the end, Christmas is a celebration of our own ego. Granted, an ego redeemed and purified by the Grace of God, but still, it is the salvation of our own selfish ego that the profoundly religious person must be sacrificing for, and it will be our own selfish ego that will benefit from eternal bliss. Those who wish that Christmas would consist of a visit to the Holy Manger in thankful devotion to the birth of the Messiah are few and live in small and ancient monastic communities scattered across the desert of the Middle East. They have no festive lights, no special shopping to do, no desire of material additions to their monastic life, for their rewards are of the afterlife, not of this one.

Most Christians are not monks, and even less of the ascetic order. The way Christians celebrate Christmas is not even close to devoting much time to atonement and sacrifice for the benefit of gaining eternal salvation. Most Christians believe that believing in Jesus Christ the Savior is enough atonement for gaining eternal bliss and that one can have the best of both worlds: instant gratification in this one, and eternal bliss in the next. This philosophical principle of convenience brings every religious person “de facto” to live and practice the philosophy of an Atheist. An Atheist, of course, has always lived the principle of guiltlessly celebrating with personal gratification his achievements, for he has no reason to postpone gratification to another world. While Christians in their churches are indoctrinated to see human selfishness and the pursuit of one’s egoistic pleasure as the roots of all evil, at Christmas time Christians and Atheists share and practice exactly the same philosophy. They both indulge in celebrating, feasting and lavish spending for all sorts of entertainments precisely because Christmas, like all Pagan festivities, has a humanistic meaning: the celebration of one’s own achievements.

And this is why the wealthy, those who have achieved the most, those who have acquired material possessions in abundance can afford to make the greatest display of Christmas by spending on lights, fancy decorations, parties, and acquiring an endless list of luxury items. At Christmas time, cities around the world vie for spending taxpayers’ money to be the most festive in celebrating… well, what else… the achievement of material wealth. Cities are beckoning their population to indulge to spend, to increase commerce and to give themselves to unbridled consumerism. Why, because the alternative is poverty.

It is human achievement and its derivative, the creation of wealth, which permits us to take advantage of any kind of festivity, religious or secular, to do what human nature requires: enjoy life, the only life we have for sure. When people pursue the enjoyment of life, when people do not sacrifice their self today for the self in an imaginary afterlife, they can be productive and they tacitly acknowledge and practice the principle of Atheism. Religious people are people who do not know that they are believers in the supernatural only in name, but that in practice they are Atheists. That’s because no one has the power to create another reality out of a belief.

Leaving Islam is one thing - joining another religion is another thing. What is your problem? You just want to leave Islam or you want to join some religion you didn't tell us about? Don't expect good advice if you don't give specifics.

Allah said in the Quran that there is no compulsion in religion - therefore you are free to do what you want.

My advice is to stop seeking help online and find some real people to talk to. Discuss the specifics of your problem. Take responsibility for your actions as a mature adult and live with the consequences of your actions as a mature adult.

Finally, remember that Allah is the Most Merciful and the Most Generous - anything can be forgiven EXCEPT associating a partner to Him (like Jesus).

What proof are you looking for anyway? Maybe you need to ask yourself what the purpose of religion is in the first place.

Before you go ahead and do something you might regret for the rest of your life, think twice. Think about what is making you back out of Islam. There are many scholars and imams who can answer your questions, and there are many other fonies (including internet, "yahoo answers") who could give you wrong answers and might be doing that by purpose, to steer you wrong. Give it some time. Islam is not the fastest growing religion in the world for a lame reason. It is the only religion that has scientific proof to many questions. Do you really think that the Quran was written by a person other than Allah? If so, then I dare anyone in this universe, from the past present and future to bring even a verse like it. And just one other thing i want you to keep in your mind, what is our purpose in life, why do we live, why does the world exist?
Peace be to you and all others.

Firstly why don't you believe in Islam??? Any particular reason???

I hat to say but you are committing a big mistake, nevertheless it is your life.

Seeing as you don't believe in Islam then that must mean you don't practise i.e. read salaah, fast????

Your religion is between you and your Lord, not your parents.

May Allah (swt) guide you the right way Ameen.

Lā ilāha illā-llāh. THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH.

Islam is the only religion in the sight of God. I would seriously advise you to study it before you decide to give it up. InshaAllah you will see it is the most complete way of life.

God made Islam the true and complete religion:
The Qur'an 5:3, {. . . Today I have perfected your religion for you, and have completed My favor upon you, and have approved for you Islam as religion. . .}

Once I wanted to leave Islam and adopt Christianity. I told my father about that, he said he would disown me but not kill me. My mother said she would only think of me as a fool. These were the basic reasons why I did not leave Islam, but later I also changed my mind. Christianity is still a second thought in my mind but now i am a Muslim.

I would advise you to talk to and discuss with your parents about Islam as a religion critically, well before actually giving up Islam. Tell them all that makes no sense to you about Islam. Argue with them. Maybe they would compromise with you. Maybe they understand. What do you know what they would do to you? I know its not easy for them to give you up!
If you really want to follow some organised religion, then you may even try to convert your parents, just for the sake of trying and not actually converting them.

If nothing works, then you may need to follow any other religion secretly, without letting your parents know about it! In the case of Christianity this is not possible. In the case of Judaism, conversion itself is not allowed. In the case of Buddhism and other religions this is possible.

So which religion do you want to follow? I would suggest you follow atleast some religion, not nothing. I would like to hear from you!

its good that you have doubts and thoughts about your religion but that doesnt mean that your religion is wrong...so the first step is to study your religion and see if its telling the truth or not and then try to compare it with other religions and choose which one of them makes sense and has a better system than the others.....and never judge a religion from its followers so always judge it from the book that the people claims its from God.

"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him" (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:85)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim." (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:67)

002.006 As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not.

002.007 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom.

002.008 And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not.

002.009 They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.

002.010 In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie.

002.011 And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only.

002.012 Are not they indeed the mischief-makers ? But they perceive not.

002.013 And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: shall we believe as the foolish believe ? are not they indeed the foolish ? But they know not.

002.014 And when they fall in with those who believe, they say: We believe; but when they go apart to their devils they declare: Lo! we are with you; verily we did but mock.

002.015 Allah (Himself) doth mock them, leaving them to wander blindly on in their contumacy.

002.016 These are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, so their commerce doth not prosper, neither are they guided.

002.017 Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindleth fire, and when it sheddeth its light around him Allah taketh away their light and leaveth them in darkness, where they cannot see,

002.018 Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not.

DO NOT LEAVE ISLAM. ISLAM IS THE ONLY RELIGION THAT MAKES SENSE. IT IS A TRUE RELIGION. READ THE QURAN, LEARN ABOUTH THE HOLY PROPHET AND HIS LIFE. PRAY NAMAZ. GO TO THE MASJID AND TALK TO THE IMAM. THIS IS MAYBE THE WORST MISTAKE YOU WILL MAKE IN YOUR LIFE. THEN YOU WILL SEE THAT IT IS THE BEST RELIGION.YOU ARE NOT PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO IT. PAY MORE ATTENTION. ALLAH WILL MAKE A PLACE FOR YOU IN JUNNAH (HEAVEN). IT HAPPENED TO ME ONCE TOO. IF YOU DONT HAVE PROOF THAT ISLAM IS REAL THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT OTHER RELIGIONS ARE REAL.

It doesn't matter what your friends or parents think!.......But it does matter wether or not you will receive salvation and eternal life in the Kingdom of God. There is ONLY ONE WAY....through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!.......The Bible plainly teaches, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Satan will stop at nothing to keep people blinded to the fullness of God's truth. The result, as Jesus explained, is that "the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it," and "the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it" (Matthew 7:13-14, NRSV)......http://www.ucg.org/booklets/TL/ http://www.ucg.org/booklets/RL/
