How many calories a day are you consuming? My twin is 5' 6" and weighs 104 and has ALWAYS been that way. Meanwhile, my other sister developed an eating disorder while trying combat the same thing. The moral of the story is be happy with the body you are in! See a nutritionist and develop a smart diet plan if you want to gain weight. Please do NOT listen to these people telling you to gain weight by eating Mc Donalds. Like I said, see a doctor or nutritionist. They can best identify you body type, and even do whats called a "metobolic workup" and calculate your actual metabolism and see how many calories a day your body is consuming. You should also have your thyroid checked as you could have a "hyperthyroid." As many as 10% of women have this and don't even know it! Whatever you decide to do, just be smart about it. It's your body and you only get one! Please look at the link below to read more about hyperthyroid.

im underweight too but i see a nutritionist

u need to eat MORE CALORIES THEN U BURN...EAT MORE OF THESE TYPES OF SNACKS IF U WANNA GAIN WEIGHT...u shouldnt have 2 eat junk

-dried fruit(especially raisins)-instead of fresh fruit
-Lean meats
-complex carbs(oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread/pasta)
-peanut butter(put on anything)-or other nuts
-"proto pure" protein bars....each has 300 calories and 32 g protein but are low fat(7-8g), ok carb(around 26), very low sugar(1g), very healthy and delicious...i like the chewy chocolate chip and chocolate deluxe..or the regular "pure" protein bars but they are smaller and only have around 180-200 calories and 20 grams of protein
-loose granola or muesli(as a good snack)
-potatoes and corn instead of greens
-drink boost plus and ensure plus(the chocolate is the best) they have 350-360 calories each and have alot of vitamins, healthy fats, and the carbs u need...look them up...there is a difference between the regular and the plus...
-milk/other dairy products
-beans/seeds
-a large chocolate banana milkshake wouldnt be bad every once in a while either even though its unhealthy

its helping me a bit to gain some weight and muscle...

U HAVE 2 MAKE SURE U DONT BURN WHAT U EAT AND HAVE A HEALTHY SNACK BEFORE BED LIKE A PB&J SANDWICH AND A GLASS OF CHOCOLAE MILK...

also, its a myth that carbs or fat or sugar turns to weight before other things...it doesnt. its just the amount of calories no matter where they come from so just more carbs would not help if calories arent higher...u need to increase EVERYTHING(fats, protein, carbs, sugars)...not just one thing... go see a nutritionist too... u might want to talk to a doctor or something about ur metabolism too...

Well, Definitely consume alot more calories then you've been eating. BUT make sure that the food your eating to get those calories is HEALTHY, no sense in making your body sick while trying to do youself good.

Also work on the muscles, because muscles are a very healthy way to gain good weight. Try heavy bicep and bench press lifting. GOOD LUCK!

Don't eat carbs or binge on junk food if you want to gain weight, period. Eat a lot of protein since it's muscle building and extra carbs simply means excess fat, nothing else.

You should consider yourself lucky. I'd DIE to be as thin as you. :(

Sure, lots of carbs will work, but carbs alone will not make you fat. Burn less calories. Sit and play World of Warcraft or something all day and eat nothing but fast food, that should do it.

dont gte FAT first, that makes no sense. You should be trying to eat more proteins or maybe try some kriotine weight-gainers WHILE working out so you're not just fat.

red meat is the most fatty thing out there. hit up mickey d's and the sports bars and ull be jiggling and unable to see your toes in no time. the workouts will shift that to muscle, just make sure that you keep up with it.

hope this helps!!!
