I didn't make myself clear enough. I don't mean by walking. I want to know the most efficient route from China to France using mostly trains or cars when necessary. They're connected by land so I assume theres a way to do this. I'm looking for advice on a travel route or if there is a railway that would cover a big section of the journey, thought there might be something that could take me through most of Russia perhaps?

I just don't want to take a plane and would like to go to Europe as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Hope you have a few years and speak a lot of languages. Some of that territory is still wild and controlled by people who aren't friendly to strangers. Especially strangers who don't speak their language. Also hope you have several pairs of good boots as you're really going to need them.

OK you mean surface not foot ROTFL The trans-manchurian railway will take you from Beijing to Moscow - you can connect in Moscow to St Petersburg and the rest of Europe . You will need Chinese, Mongolian and Russian visas - probably it depends on your nationality. For more travel tips check out http://lissiearticles.com/category/travel-tips/
