The expression “shining one,” or “Lucifer,” is found in what Isaiah prophetically commanded the Israelites to pronounce as a “proverbial saying against the king of Babylon.” Thus, it is part of a saying primarily directed at the Babylonian dynasty. That the description “shining one” is given to a man and not to a spirit creature is further seen by the statement: “Down to Sheol you will be brought.” Sheol is the common grave of mankind—not a place occupied by Satan the Devil. Moreover, those seeing Lucifer brought into this condition ask: “Is this the man that was agitating the earth?” Clearly, “Lucifer” refers to a human, not to a spirit creature. Isaiah 14:4, 15, 16.

Satan is the Christain Devil. Lucifer is a name often applied to Satan, but is actually the name of a Roman Pagan God that has nothing whatsoever to do with evil. The name Lucifer got added to the Bible in the Latin translation. The original name was Halal ben Shachar, who was a Canaanite God of the Sunrise.

No, Satan was Lucifer before falling. Lucifer was the highest of Seraphim (Book of Ezekiel 28:14) in the Hierarchies of angels. Lucifer was featured to have had twelve wings (http://www.testriffic.com/resultfiles/11836lucifer800x600.jpg ), which supposedly further exemplified the regard to which God gave him above all the other angels prior to his fall.

Lucifer ("light-bearer") occurs in Isaiah 14:12-14

Devil, however, was another angel. the Devil was believed to have been the Chief of the Powers (lat. potestas (f), pl. potestates) before he Fell.

Ephesians 6:12 (King James Version)
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Yep there are "Two morning stars", and one is a fake.

Satan is Lucifer, the wormwood star.

Rev 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

This is the true morning star.

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

From what I understand, Satan and Lucifer are different names for the devil, the same evil fallen angel being.

I believe the two names refer to the same being. Lucifer is Latin, and means morning star (which satan was before He chose pride) and Satan means adversary, since he is the enemy of YHVH.

The beautiful, powerful angel Lucifer (light bearer) became Satan when he rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven.

We have already proven that satan is santa. Lucifer is the 'bringer of light', from luc (light) and fer (bring). Religionists prefer to remain in darkness, and light (knowledge) is evil. Are they one and the same?
