Yeah it's really poisionous. Call your vet, they'll tell you what to do specifically. For now hide all the other silicone packets.....

Well, they aren't a good diet, that's for sure. My dog,not 10 mins ago ate some of the little beads from a stuffed toy. It will all come out in the end, as this has happened before with all of them. It would be best to watch the dog closely for a few hours. Make sure he eats and drinks , and try to make sure he uses the bathroom...poop is good, then, if you can get there in time, make sure there are pellets in there.
It is always a good idea to call the vet, or poison control. Check out the local Emergency Vet Hospital near you, in the phone book. Or, call your Vet and ask the service to call him and tell him what is going on. They don't mind. Its the ON CALL Vets job to help us silly humans.
Good luck, and give the little/big? guy a Christmas hug from me.

Do you have any soda crystals as in washing soda not the drink? If so give to him to try and make him sick and hope the silicon comes back. If can call an emergency vet I would do that first and ask their advice.

It's always better to ask your vet than to ask here when a dog ingests anything strange. We actually had this question at work the other day. They got their answer here.

If it is different from what they describe, call the poison control hotline and ask, just to be on the safe side.
Happy Holidays!

If it's silica pellets, then it's harmless. You can actually buy silica in health food stores as a supplement. As far as I know, the ones in the packet are insoluble and will most likely just pass through.

Wow, that is bad stuff. Look up poison control info...and see if you have anything on hand you can get down him to cause him to vomit it up....getting it out of his system....POISON CONTROL will know if you need to cause him to vomit, or give him something to counteract the possible damage to him.

They're non-toxic. The danger is when they eat a lot of them, they swell as they fill with water.

If your dog ate just a few he will be just fine, if you have any reservations though you can induce him to vomit by giving him a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and he will hurl it up ! it is completely safe for him, be sure to do it outside!!!
