It's not just today, it's all the time. I've called the cops and all that but it doesn't realllly help. Right now I have a huge subwoofer pointed directly at their wall and I'm about to blare the loudest most mind bending techno available. Should I do it?

oh... they would definitley hear it. I don't invest my money in cheap sound equipment. I could shake their walls if I wanted to. It's getting louder... my finger is on the button.....

Good for you! We are very quiet people, but when my neighbors get too loud with their crap music and the wall-pounding doesn't work, I have turned up the bass as loud as I could and blasted some heavy metal right back at them. People who disturb their neighbors this way deserve to get what they dish out, IMHO.

Seriously, don't stoop to their level no matter how satisfying you think it will be. Google your city's noise ordinance--it should be somewhere in the municipal code. Cite the specific violation, compose a professional looking letter in business letter format explaining which ordinance they've violated. Explain that a record is now being compiled documenting violations of the ordinance, and explain the fines that may accrue. Keep track for a week or so. Once you've done this, if they're still blaring the music, get the cops involved--politely!

No. They won't hear it. I'm sure they must be hard of hearing by now.

I had the same problem. I spoke to them personally and nicely. Didn't help much, but I tried to be the best neighbor I could to them, and eventually they stopped. I'm not sure if my niceness had anything to do with it, but couldn't have hurt.

I don't know why people do that. It's so rude.

SOUNDS GREAT IN THEORY, AND I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU BUT YOU COULD START AN ALL OUT WAR, AND IMAGINE SLEEPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND THEY BLARE THE MUSIC JUST TO PISS YOU OFF, THIS CAN CONTINUE AND END IN BEING A ONE UPPING WAR.....
