chinatown, little italy, all open. lots of places in nyc outside of chinatown and little italy are open. nyc doesn't close unless it's a 6 foot snow storm.

Chinatown is always open, As this is not Chritmas time and no the Chinese new year day, all Chinese owned stores will be open at Dec 31st and Jan 1st, may be others could not be opened those days

Chinatown is always open, BUT not every store on Canal St is Chinese owned.
