It's called scene hair. They cut it with a razor at different angles. I would take the pictures with you though so they can see exactly what you want.

Honestly It's All Up To You.

You Can Decide Your Style And The Way You Are Defined So Choose Wisely.

P.S. They Both Look Good, But I Like The Second One Better :D

well if you can either print these pictures or find some in the magazine you can take them with you to show the hair stylist.
make sure you describe if you want a lot of layer in the front or a few cut pieces and the length.
you can always be happier if you keep your hair with some length that away you dont have to worry about being to short.

How about this, when you go to the hair cut place, print out that picture and show it to the person cutting your hair.
Remember to ask if that hair style is possible and manageable considering your hair type(ask if with your hair type it would be easy to fix, etc)
ALSO:
Bring "back up" hair style pictures so if that hairstyle will not suit your hair type, you have other hair styles you can ask and try.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Make sure the hairstyle suits your hair type AND your face shape!!!!!!!
Happy Holidays! :]

Take the pictures with you. I cut hair for five years and one picture is worth a thousand words. I can't give it to you if I don't understand what you want.
