hello right is it possable to convert music that is on a non rewriteable cd in to a format of mp3 and if it is possable how is there any thing that is free to download that can change cd audio tracks in to mp3 format

its built-into your media player already....just open the disc usingyour media player and then select to save the files as mp3s......there are convertors out there that do the same thing.
DB poweramp would be one

Here's one for you, firtha, though I must admit I haven't actually used this programme.

It's called Free CD to WAV MP3 WMA AMR AC3 AAC Ripper 2.0 and it can be downloaded from the following site.

There are newer versions of this programme available, but I couldn't find a site with a workable link. This one does as I've just downloaded the same file for myself.

Just stick the CD in the drive and use 'media player' to save. It should save as mp3 file!

yes it is,go to prism.com,its free,and it will convert most music file types,mp3 to gp3 and so on,good luck and merry xmas.
