You really need to see a doctor. Nobody wants to be on drugs, but they do help. If you do have ADD, you will learn to deal with it. Seriously, you will find strategies for keeping on task and may well get off any medication your doctor prescribes. My son-in-law was diagnosed with ADD. He now has his degree and does not use medication.

One caution however. Some doctors mis-diagnose ADD when the patient really has bi-polar disorder. Both are very treatable, but the treatment for ADD is contra-indicated for bi-polar disorder. Tell your doctor to be really certain of his diagnosis.

Whatever the case, I hope you have a case of the jitters and you outgrow it soon. Your post sounds like you're a really focused, bright person.

Dont listen to the above guy - this is completely normal.

I have it but don't call it ADD - cause it isn't - studying is boring and you feel you need a stimulus to respond to so you do those things (cause you get a response, in basketball you constantly change your thinking of where the ball is, balance etc, tv - well you have to follow what they are showing)

95% of people have this - its not a condition - if we didnt we would all be bankers who earn £300k a year cause we would work ridiculously hard

Hello,
Today it is the thing to have, ADD and ADHD (if you had ADHD doubt you would be just sitting there spacing out).
If you really had it, you would not want it.

What you wrote up there is not enough to say you have it. Just sounds like you are a board person.

There are three of us here with the diagnoses of ADHD, any one of us would be happy to give it away if we could.
Go to your doctor if you are convinced you have it, there is something called hypochondriac too, check it out online.

Mental illness is nothing to mess around with.
Good luck and wish you well

ADD;
BTW it is proven that ADD/ADHD people are very bright people. That is some of our problem!
