I almost thought you were a theologian.
The word Lord has paganistic origins, so it doesn't matter whether you use the word or not. In fact, some historians claim that the word Lord used to refer to the deity Baal. Not too sure about that but you can do your own research.

You can not have Jesus as your personal savior and talk like that about him. If you read the bible you will see he is our Lord you are not bowing down to a man you are bowing down to Jesus the son of God. The bible says at his second coming all will see him and bow down to him.

It is a package deal. And if you believe that He is your Savior, then you believe that He is God. And if He is God, then why not your Lord?
Is pride once again going to stand in the way of potential?
Title of nobility are trite and passing. But to admit that God is God and the Master and King, that's just common sense.

I just put in a request to be there on Judgment Day, when you'll have an opportunity to stand before Christ, and get to share your enlightened views with him, in person.

The only true freedom is to be found under the Lordship
of Jesus Christ!
Freedom from fear.
Freedom from death.

Can't do it, it is a package deal. If you want forgiveness, you must accept cleansing. If you want the Messiah as your Savior, you must accept Him as Master. (He isn't just a man, you know, and having died so you can live, He is worthy of your worship)

It places you in the 'Anarchy' category.
To some extend, wether or you know it or not, you'll always be obeying someone.
for instance: Speed limits!
You obey the local authorities when they have set the speed limit on certain roads to 50MPH.
Not obeying them could lead to a fine, imprisonment, or even the loss of your drivers licence.
And allthough local authorities are strict, God isn't as strict as them.
If you don't want to bow to God, that's ok. But just like Jesus said to peter: "If I don't wash your feet, you can't have part of me!"
God will never force you to bow before Him. This is an image many christians hold wrong.
But can you imagine when you'd see God in all His glory, that He'd be so beyond beautifull that you can't do anything but stand in awe of what you see and experience?
To bow before someone is just but an outwardly expression of something you have decided inside of your heart!
I don't bow daily to God, not even weekly or monthly or yearly,
but whenever God tells me something, that is good, and where I'm wrong, I will submit to him.
Submission to do what is right.
In case of someone terrorising you being a harsh leader, who makes lots of wrong decisions, I guess noone would want to bow to that one!
Yet in all my years of experience, I found out that God never does things like this!
God's always right, and just; loving and kind!
What He longs for is for you to realise who He is, and just like a mountain is bigger, and heavier then your house, you will have to admit one day that God is bigger then us.
Gods ways are bigger then our ways, and when we look back on them, we'll always see that our ways haven't even matched close to His ways...
His are far superior! Always have, and always will be.
And because God's far superior decisions, I've learned to trust Him, and to submit to his will.
If I don't agree, I can always back up later; meaning, I do bow to God as my Lord and saviour; and there are day to day things where I'll have to make choices to either follow God, or my own ways.
I'm still able to follow my own ways if I would want to.
And sometimes I do!
And God's not dissapointed in me! For He knows!
He knows allready before I make the decision which decision I would choose,
and his desire is not to force upon you any commandment, but that you'll decide what you agree on and what not.
You know?
The first time I bowed down to God, I felt a bit awkward!
Hoped noone would see me,
and most of all, I hoped God wouldn't laugh with me or ridicule me!
But God's no man!
INstead of feeling 'stupid' after doing that, I felt peace, happyness, and a sence that I've done something right this time!
I know this is a long text, but I hope it'll tell you little of my experience, and I hope that it would be helpfull to you, when you further seek for answers!
*edit: BTW, if Jesus and God are the same, then try with God first. I myself wasn't sure of Jesus neither, and still doubt sometimes, but Jesus says: if you don't believe in me, then believe in the works that I do!", and I believed in the works that he did, for they where good works!.*
