Dear Anil,

Destiny has surely got exceptions. No doubt about it.

What is destiny? People call it '' Vidhi" or '' That what is written on forehead by Brahma''...OK?.

Let us think about the first created Purusha (a lady or a male). So he has no past karmas at his credit .But he has a free will.He can do bad things or good things in that life and that is carried to next birth as ''Praarabdam''.We call normally that thing as ''Vidhi'' or destiny.

Depending upon the good and bad ( Paapa Punyams ) of previous birth , the destiny of this birth is FIXED, ...in that way majority think.
But they forget that they have a free will to do good or bad even in this birth, and if the effort of doing this or exercising the free will is powerful, then his or her destiny surely changes. The scriptures stress it and and declare.

in Uttara Raamaayanam or Gnaana Vaashistam you can see this clearly. This is called Purusha prayatnam, or Pourusham in sanskrit.Do not mistake ''Pourusham '' to be Purushatvam or Manlihood. It is Purusha Prayatnam or Human effort.

The destiny depends on this Purusha prayatnam, so if one exercises the free will strongly against the influence of past karmas or praarabdam , he sure changes the Destiny.

So destiny is changeable or has got exceptions.

Destiny is not fixed and can change. The Astrological conditions at birth may give an indication of you're destiny and say something about your Karma. But we still have Free Will so we can change things.

Even coming into contact with another person changes things. Our Karma (activities) are going on all the time..Helping to formulate our future....So planning is important not only for this life but the next life too..

Yes you can change your future and your Destiny..

If you think of time in a non-linear fashion, considering it in its totality, it's easy to feel like we're all destined for a particular fate. For instance, if I could look at my life as a whole, and I knew the time, place and nature of my death, I may feel like none of the choices I'm making now matter. The thing is, we do not know the future, and time may not work in that way. Choices we make now (what kind of food we eat, how much we exercise, whether or not we wear our seatbelts in the car) may be having an effect on our lives right now! Even if you could see your own expanse, who's to say that you didn't live a week, a month, or even years longer because of positive choices you made? Yes, accidents do happen, but statistically, they can be avoided with healthy habits and safety precautions. Statistics tell us that we can strongly influence our "destiny" by considering the consequences of our actions.

that is one question that always confused me. Even though we do have free will, what i've been tough is that god nonetheless already knows how you will choose, so therefore, he knows in advance, so i guess destiny has no exceptions, but if it did then there would be plenty of confusion i think cuase if there really were exceptions i think people would feel even more guilty, cause then they really could have tricked destiny and switched the path, or pattern, but since they didn't and made the wrong choice they really would feel more at fault....its a bit confusing to me still...

Noone has a life fated to become or do something in their life.
Yet everyone has a destiny.
A destiny is different then fate.
If a man is fated to die in an airplane, then he has no other choice, since his life is planned out to be like that.

If a man is destined to die in an airplane, he can then decide to never go in an airplane, and therefor his destiny will change.
if you're destined to become the greatest mathematical teacher in the world, you can avoid that destiny, by never really putting effort in maths.

It's very hard to reach a destiny. It's very hard to impossible to avoid fate.
Therefor fate doesn't exsist in a persons life. For fate would not speak of God's grace over one's life.
But destiny does!

If you believe in destiny then probably not. I don't believe in destiny but I believe that we all have a path that is known to God. If you believe that is destiny then I don't think so, he knows how it'll end. That's like watching a movie and hoping for a new ending b/c you concentrate really hard.

"Destiny" or "fate" implies a set, pre-fixed pattern from which there is no escape. All of human life is an exception to this non-existent rule. The concept of "destiny" is a "no-fault clause" for some people so that they don't have to take responsibility for their choices, actions and decisions.

God has a will or optimum plan for each life, but whether or not we choose to cooperate with that will is again, our choice and decision. There is no "fate." There is only choice. Each choice we make affects all the others we may make in future.

I am inclined to follow the one that said that destiny is made by ourselves. If God made destiny then there should be no evil or God is the creator of evil. God can guide us on a valuable path of service to Him and others if this is destiny then it is also our choice to be on the path. Jesus himself said there are two paths. You choose which one you want to be on....Most of Jesus words were about choice. It is obvious why...

I could not understand your question.

However about Destiny what I can understand -

Destiny is what is in store for you in future. Can anybody gurantee that such and such thing is there in store for them in their future ! One cannot change his destiny because it is written by lord Bramha (for Hindus) and almighty for other religions. What is written by Bramha nobody knows. Whatever astrology, numerology or palmistry says they are the guess works - may prove sometimes right, but no guarantee.
