One thing is going to college and getting my Bachelors. Neither of my parents finished high school but they went back to get their GED. I'm the only one in my household who went to and finished college, and I'll probably be going back. Also, I survived a horrendous childhood. :)

I believe the way I have overcome obstacles without bitterness has made me proud. Those who know me believe my life is a testament. Briefly it goes like this: Horrific abuse from the age of 4-15 years old, diagnosed bi-polar (stable now), demeaned and cajoled by a boss, and fell the garage cement floor and had a bilateral subderal hemotoma surgery. All the doctors say I was lucky, however I'm dealing with residuals from the accident. Jesus has been my help through all.

My children and helping my soon to be ex husband in his life. This is a source of shame and pride that i'm a single parent shame because i lost there dads not totally my fault but still embarassing but pride because it is hard to do but i keep going everyday for my kids even when i think i'm going to fall aprt i put on a smile for my children. I'm proud and amazed at myself for that actually i'm just proud i'm a christian when i'm like that because God is the source of my joy when i'm in alot of misery and i can be proud i'm a child of the King at those moments. You can go through anything if God is by your side it is true!!!

I'm proud that I've made more of my life than my mother did of hers. I'm the only person in my entire family that has gone to college (self funded). I'm married to a wonderful man, we just bought a house and I have two awesome step kids! And 2 great dogs!!

That I am a down to earth mother and my 15 year old daughter and I have a great relationship, she talks to be about everything and I'm glad she feels that comfortable, especially being a teenager. I try to guide her in the right direction and do it with love because it breaks my heart when I read these questions from teenagers, who obviously can't go to their parents or don't feel comfortable doing so, with their concerns or problems.

Having my children has been very rewarding but what I am most proud of is, the ability to become a better parent that my mother was to me. I broke the cycle of abuse and replaced it with balance of love and proper disapline.

despite having people putting a lot of pressure on me and putting me down, i am proud of the fact that i got to where i am today. i have taken a path where i am able to prove my ability and independence. i have a job that enables me to save up for my university degree, which saves my family a lot of heartache and headache from having to come up with money for me.
