I have spent most of my life far away from family. Being a shift worker, I often work Christmas. Like now, bummer.

My heart grows tender thinking about family and friends.

I also think about Christ, the season reaches into my soul.

That could be that deep down you realize that GOD sent this Son whose birth we celebrate as a gift to us. That is quite the gift and maybe you wish that others would accept it. With JESUS, you have love for everyone.

Well, it's not unusual to miss your family at this time of year, when you can't be with them, if you grew up the way considered "normal" in the US, then you probably have memories of good times with your family at Christmas. Things slow down at this time of year, and we have more time and less distraction to think of things that are important to us. If you can't be with your family on Christmas day, perhaps you can arrange a time to get together with them some other time close to the holiday. Give them a call if you can, and enjoy your reflections on the holiday....Best wishes to you during the Season of Light.....
