There is no most sacred place on earth.

People will answer this question with their favorite place, but know that this is only an individual opinion. Sacred means to me that it's holy, so then I see that all of earth and all of the universe is holy. Sacredness exists everywhere, both inside and outside of ourselves in all dimensions and as far as one could imagine that one could reach. Yet, being human, we can all connnect with that, simply by getting very quiet, and forgetting about ourselves for just a moment. When we do that, in that moment we merge with the sacredness that exists everywhere, and are at one with it. Thus there is no place, we can all access sacredness anywhere and anytime, it needs no special journey to find it, nor any particular place to connect with it.

No physical place is sacred, for it just consists out of material and objects.
The most sacred place is any place where God is present. And he's present everywhere, and also nowhere in a sence.
I meant with this that God's everywhere, and yet many people find it hard to believe, because they don't experience God in that place.

Yet God is everywhere, including in an isolationcell...

Your question is quite difficult. But today is Merry Christmas and people all around the world are celebrating it. For religious purpose, each religions has its own place. For individuals it may be different. For me it is our soul. It is most sacred place. Whenever we try to tell a lie, It obstructs, whoever we hurt someone, It disagrees. If all of us obey the advice of our Soul, I presume nobody will be unhappy in this world. I hope all will agree. Merry Christmas to all the people who are on the net right now and who loves God.

There is no sacred place on earth anymore. It used to be Jerusalem and probably still would be if it wasn't a center of war.

I don't believe any place is special to the Almighty. In the old days there was the tabernacle, (and wherever it was) then later the temple, Solomons, and then Herod's. It is my understanding that with the destruction of the temples, and the end of the worship services there, that the rock is not at this point special. (Later, the 'New Jerusalem' will come down, but I don't think where it will land is special until it gets here. There is a block of time that the Almighty set apart.........

My Friend, the most sacred place is within yourself. From a higher standpoint/view there is no such thing as a place, you are interacting with a projection of your own mind. Mind is all there, anywhere you go there is consciousness. What is sacred is the inner kingdoms of Light which are indwelling. Since all is a projection of your indwelling natures of consciousness/cosmology of being, then all is an aspect of consciousness and reflect a reality of consciousness in its image, characteristic, purpose, meaning, etc. So my friend, you are where you stand and as you stand you are. You in the totality of your being is a sacred place.

Friend,

Maanasa Sarovar is normally said to be most sacred place on earth.

As one advances in the Study of Vedanta , it is said that Maanas Sarovar as well as every thing is in ones mind only.To grasp this one has to read a lot well and get a good grip on what he read.

that is what I read.
