how old is the kitty? If its had its shots its most likely just a cold. My cat had a cold last week it lasts about 5 days, she had watery eyes and was sneezing a lot, she wanted to be in a warm dark place too.
The symptoms of distemper are:
loss of appetite, depression, fever, vomiting and diarrhea. Constipation is possible too. This is followed by dehydration, pain and sometimes death.

I think she as an ordinary cold which makes her very tired. For better sleeping during daytimes she wants to have it dark. TELL ME IF i AM RIGHT !!

It also might be feline leukemia. Best take her to the vet to be sure.

if she is elderly, she may just want to be left alone. Another possibility could be she's in pain and wants to die. but please take her to a vet!
