If they find out they cant kick you out, but they can take.... we'll call them measures.
If you are not married you have to sign a form saying that you will not have unprotected sex with anyone. If they find out that you did (IE: some girl calling you commander telling him that shes got the Herpely-Derpely) you could go to prison.
If you are married and your wife hasent contracted it, you will have to sign the same form.
If you are married and she has contracted it, pretty much, be faithfull.

It is basically the same process they take with people in the Army with HIV (Yes, they let people in the Army with HIV, closed out to combat).

Good luck.

*Edit: One more thing I just remembered about the form, you also have to inform, any person you plan on having sex with, PRIOR TO DOING SO, that you have the Herp.

*Edit* I stand corrected. Good work desertviking. I guess my explanation only applies to service member who get it WHILE in service. I appologize for any inconvenience.

Yes. Herpes genitalis is disqualifying for entry into all branches of the armed forces. Since it is an sexually transmitted disease your failure to report it could result in a court martial.

i can't imagine it's a disqualification.

You could be kicked out for having it. But, if you keep it a secret and they find out, they you may get booted for fraudulent enlistment because you failed to notify anyone.
