Base model 350Z's don't come with it. Enthusiast, Touring, and Grand Touring do.

Not all 350Z have limited slip differentials about 60% LSD. Not all Mazda 929 sedans have LSD about 25% LSD not all RX-7 and RX-8 have limited slip about 50%. I think but I am not sure the Honda S-2000 does have LSD standard. SO you just pick up the rear wheels and turn the left wheel and see if the right one turns the same way and if in gear the axle will turn very hard. Also there are many types of locking differentials. Viscus, Clutch packs , Gear type and full Centrifugal Locking.

Every year (2003-2007) Base model 350z (1st level in the tiers) did/does NOT come with a VLSD. It was an open differential. All other models from 2003-2007 came/come with a VSLD (Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, Track, 35th Annivesary, Grand Touring).

here the answer to your question...
the first generation 350Z did not have an LSD...
Every 350Z from 2003 upwards have standard fully functional 1.5 LSD's to handle the uprated power and fix the launch problem the first generation had.. this makes it a great drift car and perfect donut machine!!!!
