Which would you rather have?
1 1,070,377 Affordable Housing Units or keeping the Shiites in power in Iraq?
2. 39,240,332 People with Health Care or keeping the Shiites in power in Iraq until the Sunni army that we are organizing and arming overthrows them about three days after we leave.
3. 22,714,282 Scholarships for University Students Or revealing the fact that Bush’s “mission accomplished” only applied to boost the value of Cheney’s stock options.
4. 58,681,896 Children with Health Care Or winning the truly desperate battle against creeping socialism.
5. 2,068,007 Port Container Inspectors or making sure that the Shiites or the Sunni armies don’t attack Albuquerque the first chance they get. .

To those who when confronted with facts get all nervous and twitchy, i am truly sorry. You can just put your head back up where it was and ignore the fact this is what you are paying for.

But the thing is, do you think if we hadnt started the war, that the money would have actually been spent on those things? Hell no it wouldnt have. Answer me this, are you in Iraq? Have you ever been to Iraq? If you answered "No", then you dont know the first thing about what we are paying for in Iraq.
Go back to watching the FoxNews, Michael Moore, and reading your liberal owned New York Times Newspaper.

Its easy to critisize a war from a living room couch.

1) I'd rather have neither since I don't want to pay for lazy worthless people to continue to be lazy and worthless, and I think that the Shiites and Sunni are both horrid and we should have nuked the whole country.

2) once again neither I shouldn't have to pay for stupid people to get sick, and then get better they should get sick and die and rid our country of people wasting our space. I stand by my statement from the previous post about nuking the whole country.

3) I think the the University (or individuals who put the money up for the Scholarships) should pay for the scholarships, in fact my family has a scholarship for a high school student at the High school that my brother and I graduated from to a studen twho shows the most improvment in their senior year (basiclly slacked for 3 years and then applied themselves and worked hard their 4th) from when my brother was killed. As for your "idea" about the mission complete, the reason you can't have set ideas on something like that is because of the everchanging need for us over in Iraq we are doing great things (have friends who just got back) and there are things that civilians will never get as far as what is happening on the positive side over there.

4) Once again I shouldn't have to pay for your kid to get better you should do it yourself I could care less if your kid is sick it shouldn't be my job to get them health care, I have a wife who I get healthcare for I don't expect you to pay for her doctor visits, and I wouldn't expect you to pay for my kids either. I would rather win a battle against the immoral BS that is destroying our society.

5) I would rather the Inspectors we had would just do a better job than they are doing so it might be worth it to get more but why should we pay more people to be innept morons who fail at their jobs? I would acctually wan tto make sure that no one attacks America ever and if that means listening to libs whine, cry, and moan then so be it we defend your right to free speech!!

Point by point answers.

1) The government has tried this before and failed. All they managed to do last time was warehouse the poor so they could control them easier. The rules and regulations attached to any government handout are so onerous as to make them unpalatable to any freedom loving person.
2) You do realize that GOVERNMENT sponsored health care will result in rationed care and increasingly bad care. There will be fewer doctors, nurses and health care professionals in general due to the inability of these same professionals to earn enough to pay off the loans they needed to get their degrees. There will be fewer quality hospitals with up to date equipment.
3) One of the worst things to ever happen to colleges was government funded student loans. Why do you think the cost of a college education has outstripped the cost of inflation by over 800% over the last 50 years.
4) Please see my response to number two. Every one of your 'first' choices are Socialist programs, you do realize that?
5) I would rather do both, but Congress is too busy funding 11,000 bridges to nowhere.

I support the Iraq war. The Iraqi people are fighting for the freedom you take for granted. The programs you support are for welfare bums who refuse to work. Lazy people make me sick with their constant whines for charity while they sit around getting fat off the charity they have been given already. If you really want to help those fat poor people take away their food stamps. It will help them avoid trips to the hospital, making the insurance thing a non-issue.
As for your assertion that we are keeping the shiites in power, that is a sick joke that shows your racism and your love of evil dictators. The Iraqi people are now free to elect the leaders of their choice. Why do you think you have the right to tell them who to vote for? Why do you hate freedom?

Well if the war hadn't started, then the money wouldnt have gone to the causes u listed. It'd probably have gone to Iran or some other political purpose. The Bush administration call it money laundering or corruption overseas.

But at home they say its National Security.
nice.

Government Handouts rather than National Defense?
Get a job ,pay some taxes and take responsibility for yourself.
Better yet, join the military and find out what it's all about.

Why is there no "none of the above?"

I'm opposed to everything on your list, and not just because you're a troll either. The government shouldn't pay for any of that.

the problem is that the war is being funded on debit. none of the war money would have been spent unless bush invaded.
