Good oral hygiene may help in the prevention of some types of mouth ulcers and includes brushing the teeth at least twice per day, flossing at least daily, and getting regular professional dental cleaning and examination.

Well, you have received some really bad answers so far! The reality is, you cannot prevent mouth ulcers if you are susceptible to them. They are VIRAL in origin and can crop up for no obvious reason. Often though, they become more prevelant when you are run down, so eat healthy meals, make sure you try to get at least 7 hours of quality sleep, excercise regularly, try to control your stress levels, avoid constipation, drink plenty of fluids (water is best) and take a good multi-vitamin with minerals.

Mouth wash and brush daily with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE.
It works really well in solving that problem. It kills pain and heals.

My Dentist recommended it many years ago and I have used it ever since. With really good results.

1) Correct any ragged teeth you may have.
2) Local hygiene, brushing teeth, mouth gargles( not much other wise it may predispose to).
3) proper use of antibiotics ( i.e. only when it is prescribed by Doctor).

BACTERIA MAY LIVE ON THEM AND START TO PENETRATE TO YOUR MOUTH. IT MAY ALSO CAUSE ACIDS TO MAKE YOUR TEETH BRITTLE AND BORE THEM.
