This is acid reflux and is something you need to see your doctor about soon. There is treatment available but, you should not allow it to go on much longer since it can cause some serious problems. Avoid exercising after you eat for at least 2 hours and prop the head of your bed up 4-6 inches. This will keep the stomach acid from coming up your esophagus. See your doctor soon!

Only when I eat something that causes it... but this probably isn't what your talking about... is it? Well, anysway, by chance it is, one food that could cause a sour taste that you might not think of would be sugar. If that is not it, it sounds most likely neurological to me. I would look on webmd.com's symptom checker and see what it lists for possible causes. Its probably not serious, in case you were wondering, especially if you've had this for a long time.
