I believe that Mental and Spiritual hygiene is more important than Physical Hygiene.
Many Western people have Physical Hygiene, but they don't have the Mental Hygiene and Spiritual Hygiene, it is true brother!
Many Indian people have better Spiritual Hygiene and Mental Hygiene, but no Physical Hygiene, that is why some of our our cities and villages are polluted and dirty.
When a westerner comes to India, Like , they will complain the dirt on the road, pollution, and unhygienic conditions.
When an Indian or Asian sees the Mentality and Spiritual hygiene of Westerner, he will feel that the westerner is dirty, see the sexual habits of the westerners! Day in Day out they think of sex.
Physical world is nothing but gross vibrations of matter, where as mental world is subtle vibrations of matter, gross can be controlled by subtle, hence if we are mentally hygienic we can control anything in this world.

In the initial stages of spiritual life, it is very important to have a Physical hygiene as it represents the mental state and spiritual discipline.
In a advanced state, you dont feel your physical body hence physical hygiene doesnt matter.

Completely. I had use to feel no importance for mental hygiene but it has now become an everyday somewhat chore in the way that physical hygiene is. But it is one that i can not live without.

Yes, problem is people have different views on "mental hygiene" like physical hygiene. So for some killing and eating meat is ok others its not.

Purity is the be all and end all. Hygiene is only a part of the whole idea of purity. Purity encompasses the idea of physical, mental and spiritual holiness.

a seedy and disorganised mind is the wellspring of creativity. the concept of mental hygiene smacks of imposed anally retentive conformity. we'd end up in a world where musical styles hadn't fundamentally changed in 20 years, where fashion was more or less the same over decades, where compendiums of past knowledge and experience were the motivating forces of the arts and media, where post-modernism and irony were substitutes for real innovation, where safe mediocrity would mean that every city around the globe would be filled with the same stores pumping out safe products, like starbucks, gap, McDonalds........ummm...eerrrrr. we're already here, aren't we!

NO. Mental/Spiritual hygiene is MUCH more important than physical.
The physical will die and rot. The soul is eternal, and requires constant maintenence by Jesus Christ.

Since physical, mental and spiritual domain are tightly coupled, they should be equally treated. All these should be in synch with each other. We also know mind accepts, body adapts; body accepts, mind adapts. For understanding purpose mind has divided them separately, but they are one!

Body, Mind & Soul . everyone wants to be young & good-looking.Age of the body has no real connection with youthfulness.
A person looks youthful, is the state of body, mind & soul in which one feels joy & power.
