I think Yes!

Space and Time are the factors in this universe. 3 dimensions are X,Y,Z Axis. and 4th dimension should be time. When any person travels only in this 4th dimension, he can time travel.

Physically 4th dimension is not present, So if a 4th dimension exists it should be Mental(in mind). So we can travel time only using mind and nothing else. When any person concentrates and dissolves his thought, then there is no time. In this state he can travel which ever time he wants to.

Meditation can make anything possible. Great people like ViraBrahmendra etc have traveled time, all Yogis can Travel in time..

It may depend on which religion, but it is not only possible, but has happened, according to Jewish and Christian scriptures.

If, as I believe, it is true that prophets have been taken, in the spirit, to see things of the future, then time travel is possible, at least as far as going to the future and back again. But in studying the scriptures from cover to cover and back again more than a couple times I don’t recall anyone ever traveling back in time from their normal position.

The idea that they moved physically in some way does not seem to be the case, but that they were lifted from their physical body and allowed to see something God needed them to see about the future.

This is not what most people think of when discussing “time travel” but I feel that if you are allowed to go somewhere in another time, even if it is in the spirit, you have traveled in time. After all, what is time?

I also believe that our spirits are who we really are and that these bodies are only a means of navigating in the physical world. It is kind of like, but not exactly, the way space suits, communication equipment and computers are needed in space or on the moon, but the being inside the suit is the reality.

So traveling in the spirit is a real journey. The physical journey is a minor thing.

I think it's rather from a spiritual perspective. The body leaves its current plane and enters the astral plane and can go anywhere at will. But this occurs only for those who are really spiritually advanced. But we can all do this when we would have reached a high level in meditation. Such a person is free and masters his mind perfectly. He can come in direct contact with the Divine when established in meditation. It can happen also that the person receives messages and signals from God, thus knowing that he is under the constant protection of the Lord. The seeker can get to see angels or the Gods appearing in front of the spiritual seeker when the latter is in a lone place, unseen by others. Such powers even enable one to go back in time to see what they were in previous births.

Time travel is possible. But it only works going into the future.

Dealing with how fast you are going - as you approach the speed of light time for you will slow down more and more. If you were to reach 99.9% the speed of light you would only live 6.5 days for every earth year.

Scientists have sent atomic clocks into space and when a shuttle is orbiting the Earth they go much faster than any speeds on Earth. When the clocks were brought back they were a few seconds in the past.

The time travel is an interesting subject both can be possible by the level of consciousness.

If you take the great saints, sages and Rishis of all time have travelled forward or backward in time by reaching 'eternal time' which is 'now'. Because space and time collapses, when we move forward int o the higher realms/dimensions.

Religiously speaking, our Rishis were aware 'Time' which is not linear. All happening 'now' at the present time.

scientifically, when the space is collapsed time also ceases. Because Time & Space are inter related.

That is why, it is spritually possible a time travel

Whether time travel is possible or not belongs in the realm of science.

Now the question of if it is ethical, that relates to religion.

I as a Christian do not believe that one should travel through time, even to avert a catastrophe. What has happened unfolded according to the divine plan.

Now I have no problem sending probes back to observe key historical events so that we can better understand our past and our future.

On second thought, it ight be blastphemous for Christians to send probes back to 1st century Judea.

"Blessed are those who believe but have not seen."

It might be seen by the almighty as us trying to prove that he incarnated himself in the person of Jesus.

In Bhagvat Puran there is a story about maharaj Muchukund. Who belongs to Satyug. He went to help Devatas(Gods) to fight with deamons. When fight was over he wants to return back to earth. But Devatas(Gods) told him that satyug has passed away in earth and his kingdom and his family is not there because there is a huge time difference between earth and heaven. During the short time period of fight in heaven many years paased away in earth. Then Maharaj Muchukund asked for a long sleep's bless form Gods because he was so tired. And Slept in a cave for a long time. In Dwapar Yug Bhagvan Krishna used him to kill KalYavan a deamon. In Return Krishna Blessed him with his Bhakti. In Kaliyug Maharaj Muchukund born as a Bhakt Narsinh Mehata and worshiped Lord Krishna.

It Shows that we can not be there with physical body in past or in future.

If/when the technology becomes available...sure anything is possible.

Is it ethical...I've though about what I would do if I went back in time. I would witness things like the crucifixion, the great flood(but I wouldn't go there first, I would need to know if I could get back or not!) and other things....

I would take a digital camera and belike "See....told ya!"

In terms of a time machine... Time travel into the past seems kind of impossible because at one point, the time-traveler will come to the point where he or she didn't invent the time machine. Future time travel will be kind of boring because it would have already happened because it is in the future, and the time traveling has already occurred previously (if that makes sense). Da da duuuun! :)

I don't know about that, but it is entirely plausible, from a scientific perspective.

johnusmaximus1- Back to the Future was a nice movie, but in reality, we would need a goliath particle accelerator that is a few hundred miles accross, and a way to stabilize a resulting wormhole in the quark gluon plasma
