"stop cutting.. get help"... but dont say that because i know that and i am getting help.. i have a counsellor.. i swear that this was the last time i will do it... well, any tips on how to hide it?

cut some hair off your head and paste it to your arms.

I used to cut. When I was angry and didn't want to hurt anybody. It was a way to let my anger out...and that sudden rush I got was addicting. I know, it's hard to just quit cold turkey.

Until your ready to stop completely...
just wear long sleeve shirts. It's winter. No one can say anything like "It's too hot...take off your sweater" or "Why are you wearing two shirts?!" Wear lots of big bracelets and wristbands. I used to wear those twisty black bracelet thingies. Hopefully, you know what I'm talking about. (:

I wonder if neosporin would help...?

After a while, you'll probably get tired of hiding them...like I did. I stopped caring what people thought. Mine are still there, but not as bad. I mean, my friend (she's really dark) her cuts show...big time. People stare at them all the time...she thinks its funny. Why? I have no clue, she's coo-coo...

Well, I hope this babble helped you at least a little.

Good Luck!

I'm glad to hear you are getting help. That's the most important thing. Can you borrow a long sleeved shirt from a friend or family member? If you really want to hide it and don't want your family to know, why don't you leave your jacket on when you get in and tell your mom you spilled something on your shirt and ask if you could borrow one of hers when you get there. Just make sure she lets you borrow a long sleeved shirt.

If makeup does not hide it, the only way to cover it will be getting someone to lend you a long sleeve shirt. Or when you get there, tell your mom you're cold and ask if she has a sweater you can borrow..
Good luck..

Well if you have no long sleeved clothes than you can't hide the cuts. Facing up to the cuts is all part of the process. Don't feel ashamed. It sounds like you have come a long way and have reason to be proud of yourself. If your sister or mum mention it tell them that you are in therapy and you would rather not discuss it.

Have a great xmas and make 2008 the year you stop cutting.
God bless

I was a cutter from 12 to 27...yes 27. The urge still comes along and will forever after you stop. I do not condone it but I UNDERSTAND!

The other people have offered the best advice. Wear a sweater and say you are chilled.

If you MUST cut, go somewhere inconspicuos. My fave spot was my upper thigh. NO BODY saw it unless I was intimate with them and if I knew someone well enough to be intimate with them they probably knew already my secret. I have scars over my entire body but the most are on my thigh and tummy... possibly the 2 parts I hate most about myself too.

I wish you luck in your holiday dilemma. If yo need someone to talk to let me know. And don't listen to the crap people are blowing up yer butt on here. They have NO IDEA what a powerful addiction it is.

Why hide it when you can quit completely.

Go to a doctor, a counselor can't prescribe medication.

I used to cut and I quit when I got an antidepressant.
