New Zealand is NOT a state of Australia!
It is a completely different country.

New Zealand is a country in the south-western Pacific Ocean comprising two large islands - not STATES (the North Island and the South Island)

New Zealand is notable for its geographic isolation, being separated from Australia to the northwest by the Tasman Sea, approximately 2000 kilometres (1250 miles) across. Its closest neighbours to the north are New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga.

The Commonwealth of Australia is a country in the southern hemisphere comprising the mainland of the world's smallest continent

Sorry not into religion myself but for information on NZ I would advise asking under Travel > New Zealand

In New Zealand, statistically there are more Anglicans than any other denomination but that is generally the religion of birth. I wouldn't say it was more "popular". There are a lot of pentecostal faiths that have large followings. Christianity - encompassing all Christian Faiths would have a larger following than any other Faith not much more than 50% of the population. Australia however has more Catholics than Anglicans and about 70% of the population are Christian.

New Zealand is a separate country to Australia. It is not a state of Australia at all.
