Well, I'm no expert, but I have dealt with thousands of people in my working life. It seems you made a comment to him about what others think. Behind that comment lurked your desire to know if what others thought was in fact true. Because you did not present an honest question, you did not receive an honest answer. You received a joke answer - one meant to make those who think you two go out, laugh when you go back and tell them his response.
Next time, if you want to know something, ask an honest question and I'm sure you'll get an honest response.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays

Like senile said there are many levels of hell but the top layer is probably the largest because it is full of the souls who should go to heaven but they can't without the guide of Jesus Christ our lord and savior which is why he went to hell for three days so no it doesn't mean death or grave and it also doesn't mean the pit of eternally dammed souls. But I think that the next time he travels through hell it'll take a lot longer than three days before he comes out. May God bless your soul and keep you from the hands of Satan.

He was being "cute" He probably didn't know what to say and made a quick decision to be funny. Humor is a saving grace more often than not. Unless... of course, he meant it. I can't imagine anyone being THAT arrogant. No... I think he was just being clever and cute. What I don't know is if he likes you or not. It could go either way, considering his comment. It really could. I would tack that one up as an "unknown" until you have more evidence supporting one of of the two possibilities...

It seems to me that you are just friends. I read this as you are okay and funny, etc. to hang around with but not someone he sees as an interest. Ask yourself if you are okay with this. And, if you like, ask him in a private setting what he meant. You take a chance that asking could sour things. As for others that are asking or commenting, people do that and sometimes do that to be nosy or interfering. Perhaps you could stifle their comments with a "Why do you ask? That seems a bit nosy."

He might have been playing around when he said that...I mean reading what he said after you mentioning that...it sounds like he said it jokingly....but I would not know....I was not there....the best you can do is try to figure out y'alls relationship. See how it is that he acts with you and other people or mainly other girls....but if you really want an accurate and true answer....it is best to ask him....

I'm sorry sweety, but it seems like he just wants to remain friends. If he liked you as a girlfriend he would probably say something with a hint, suggesting something suggestive

It depends on his tone of voice when he said it, possibly his body motion; but really sounds like he was just playing. May have been just trying to play it off so you'd think he wasn't interested in you, that's why you're confused now. lol
