How do you react when your girlfriend starts acting weird because of depression? My girlfriend has been on meds for years but last week she switch kinds and it is really messing with her. She hasnt been sweet like she normally is, she forgets to call me, she acts like she cant carry on conversation with me (she wont start conversations, and if I try to she gives me those awful one word answers), she barely even acts like she wants to kiss me (much less anything else)... basicly I just feel like she doesnt want me, all because if her depression and meds. How do I talk to her about it without making her depression worse?

just hop on a cruise to the bahamas...without her. it sounds like you could use a bahamavention, my man. come back refreshed and live your life without that annoying crazylady. if she tries to talk to you or call you, get a restraining order.

Give it a couple weeks. the new meds take time. Depression meds don't take instant effect. They take weeks to build up and have an effect. If she switched meds then the olds ones are wearing off before the new ones build up. When people say they are grouchy because they missed a med that day it is bs because the effects build up over time not in one day or even two weeks.

Tell her with extreme kindness that you have noticed a difference in her since the new meds.
People sometimes have to try a few different things before the right meds are found. Is there a possibility that you start going to appointments with her? Have patience and not only is it meds that change have effect on people...holidays can be very difficult.

I would say, don't expect to have a relationship with her during this time. She isn't responsible for her actions. I sure hope that her parents and or doctors are awear that the medication isn't working well.
Hey she is depressed. This is not the time to talk about your relationship. It isni't your job to fix her or even be with her while she is going through a tough time. Be kind. Talk to an adult. And hang in there as her friend and become her boyfriend again when she is back to herself.
Don't take her rejection personally. And get her some help from an adult or doctor.

Medication for depression takes a while to kick in. It can take up to a couple of weeks. Her distance and weird behaviour sounds like it's due to her changing meds. I would just be patient with her and give the new stuff some time to take affect.

Tell her that you think the meds may not be working properly. Give her an explanation without blame and tell her that you think she might want to call the doctor and ask. Depression medication is tricky there are so many different kinds and finding the right one takes time.

If there have been changes and you are concerned, you definitely need to bring it up! If the meds are not doing what they need to, it may need adjusted. Now, having said that, most of these need time to build up a level in the system, and that can be anywhere from one to three months. You may just have to tough it out and be as supporting and caring as you can until these meds take effect.

It could have been the result of a change in her medication or due the changing harmonal position in her system ie body at time women behave abnormally only because of the increased levels of harmones in the system and that vanishes with the passage of time .......be sympathetic and encourage her to behave normally and soon she will be out of it talking about this will irritate her more and you may have to split

Tell her that you're bother by her reaction lately and that you actually care for her... that you really want her back to normal. Better still ask her to read this question you've wrote, it'll show that you really care for her, until willing to ask others advise on how to tell her regarding this issue without making her depression worse.. If she still doesn't get it... then I don't know!
I hope she'll understand because i find you very caring...you're great!

Tell her what what you just told us. Be up front. Obviously you are not getting anything out of this. Don't assume it would be your fault if she got more depressed. There may come a time where you have to look out for yourself and think about moving on.
