When I was about 5 (13 now), I was raped. The person who did it is very important to me, so I'm not turning him in to the police or anything. Now, getting to the point, I was wondering about how this could hava affected my personality. I tend to be a little faster to give away kisses and love than my friends, I guess because I feel that since someone stole my first ones, who cares what I do with the ones that follow. Is this because I was raped or is it just the person I am? Please help!

Okay, I know he won't rape anyone else because it's something he only did to me because he was constantly drunk for 4 years, he's sober now, and a really a nice person. If I did turn him in, I'd have to kill myself because he's THAT important to me. Plese don't suggest I kill myself.

I think you really need to talk to someone, because you are emotionally scarred. You need closure from this situation.

Just because someone stole your virginity doesn't mean you are worthless. Your body is precious, don't give it out freely. You are young now, but you are very smart.

That's really depressing.. Honestly, if you've already made up your mind not to turn him into the police, you really shouldn't worry about it. The person you are is based on genetics AND your environment, so you're still acting like the person you are even if this did cause it. Don't get caught up in thinking of what you might act like if this hadn't happened. If you're comfortable kissing and being affectionate with friends, then there's nothing wrong with that.

You need to talk to a professional, right now!

That is so screwed up that you won't turn the person in because he's important to you. So that makes it okay for him to do it to the people who aren't important to you?

You are responsible for other kids being raped if you don't notify 911.

You're most likely confused about yourself and have a bad self image. You give yourself to people with kisses and such because it validates your worth, which is most likely a result from the rape. I would seek a counselor.

It is because you were raped. You spelled it out yourself: "because I feel that since someone stole my first ones, who cares what I do with the ones that follow"

It could be. The effects of that will definitely show in your romance life, but people aren't going to hold what happened to you against you.

It's not you at all. But you need counseling to get your life back. Please make an appointment as soon as you can, and don't be afraid or ashamed. This isn't your fault.

You need to see a child counsellor immediately....and why do you want to protect the identity of the rapist?
