The debate has been going on since the release of Mac 10.5 Leopard. Is one of them really better than the other?

Just for people who don't know this, Mac handles Multimedia better than Windows! on the other hand, People use Windows in proffesional work because of their compatibility with the innuumerous softwares available. Also, the debate might be going on for years but it caught up flare only when !0.5 came out. Also, is it possible that people are switching to mac just because of the possibility of their dissapointment in Vista? I feel so.

I've been on Macs since 1988. I have the misfortune of being forced to use a PC for a year and a half. I would of rather had bamboo shoved under my toenails on a hourly basis than be forced to use a PC. It was either lose me because of a PC or keep me and buy a mac. I stayed for obvious reason.

Mac people have their own views. PC people have the own views. Neither is right or wrong. It just person preference.

Personally, my kids were using my Mac when they were each 3 years old and playing their games. They could even restart the machine if needed, due to a simple click of the mouse on a menu, not all of the PC hogwash of START menu/SHUT DOWN/Confirm/reconfirm/are you really really sure you want to shut down...

I have 4 macs, still running, and one of them was made in 1994 (Performa 575 with upgrade). I use only my Imac and my Macbook now, but the others are part of my network at home if need be.

I have had 3 PCs since 2001, and all have died prematurely (hard drive, motherboard and unknown, in that order).

So now that I can use my Intel macs for Windows too.. i am sticking with Mac. I have finally convinced my employers to start using Macs with Point of Sale Software for Macs as cash registers.. and they have been very happy, after the transition. A lot less down time, and minimal support needs so far. (Since I am the one doing it)

They may be more, but they last years longer from a quality standpoint. And the resell value is much higher as well.

Dude.. the debate is not since the release of 10.5... the debate is much older that what you think it is....

I personally use Windows at the moment, but I feel is that Mac is much better than Windows any day.

The only +ve Windows has is the number of compatible softwares available and the number of pirated prog you can run on it(:LOL)..

other than that.... Mac is atleast 10 years ahead of Windows in other depts..

That's a complex question. Do you mean written with better source code? Do you mean philosophically (as in "Are the motives and corporate behavior behind the software of one OS better than the other OS?"). Do you mean, "Which provides the better value for the money?"

Or, on an even grander scale, you might intend to ask which O/S has made the universe a brighter and more magnificent place to live? We may need to make a trip to Nepal or Tibet to find that answer.

Since this question is likely intended as a flame, the glibness is intentional. However, no sarcasm is intended or should be construed to be implied in reference to the more grandiose implications of the penultimate paragraph.

Question.... What can pc users do that mac users cant? Keep there mouth shut about how much better their computer is than someone elses.
Get a p.c. Mac users are pompous. Unless you are a film editor or a music producer the mac wont be any better for you.

I have been given a mac e book professional final summer season for faculty. I purely boot into homestead windows 7. OS X besides the certainty that seems very superb, it extremely is to sluggish and dysfunctional. homestead windows 7> OS X Snow Leopard. till you're mentally handicapped and are not very stable with computers.
