I'm in my 20s and have never had a boyfriend. I'm current y
finishing university this year, but this holidays has got me thinking about this guy that I really care about (falling in love) and how I would love to be with him, but I'm scared it won't work out. He knows I want to go to med school, but I don't think he knows the magnitude of how life will change for me... You know, this is how it's always been. No time to even have fun in highschool b/c I was so focused, and I just don't see when it's ever going to pay off. I'm so sad now - I just feel like saying, we should just be friends, but I might break out in tears...

What do I do??

As much as a lot of people will disagree, focus on your studies. I was in a similar situation (law school, not med school) and I am so glad I chose to focus on my studies rather than someone I think I might be in love with. Now, I am totally happy with my life and I have found the woman of my dreams. You are in your early 20's you have the rest of your life ahead of you.

OK, yes, med school will be a busy time for you and it will probably take over your life, but it doesn't start tomorrow. You're not searching for a husband right now, just a guy to go out with and have a good time. Why not do that right now?

Ask him out. The odds of it being a long-term thing are low being that you're only 20, so why not go for it and have some fun for a change?

Go for it.

Nothing is guaranteed and if you wait for the "perfect" situation you'll miss your life.

You only get to do this once.

go out with this guy. Have fun and see where it goes. not every relationship has to be your forever love. "better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all" yadda, yadda, yadda...

Kiss him on the face, only if you think he is really the one. It can totally satisfy you, dear.
