I had a roaster oven.. It burned up I was wondering if I could take the pan thing out of it and use it in the oven to cook my turkey in?

The pan is not glass like it is more like a metal is what I would call it I guess.... It's probally not exactly like metal but similar just trying to give some idea of what the pan is to make sure it would be oven safe... Almost like a cookie sheet... Would it be safe to put it in the oven ?

If your pan is like mine (porcelain lined) then I would think it would be okay. But will it fit!?! I don't think mine would. The rims on my pan are pretty wide. I have used a wide rectangular glass casserole dish (the one I make lasagna in)with aluminum foil to cover to do a 14 lb. turkey in my regular oven. That might work better for you also. A friend used her 13 x 9 cake pan for her bird.

I agree with him. If it will fit, go ahead because it is made to handle the temp. On the other hand, I have been known to use the broiler pan that came with my oven. I just remove the top grating and cover the meat with oil.
