Why do people think its acceptable to enter other peoples threads just to tell them that they need to find god or that they're going to hell? Pot meet kettle.

My first thought - The anonymity of the internet. You can say damned near anything to a complete stranger in a chat room, blog, or message forum and have minimum (if any) consequences to face.
I used to think that insecurity had a lot to do with it, but the more I see it... well, I begin to think that some people do genuinely get a kick out of acting like that. I say this only because I have literally heard people (especially younger people) brag about it to their friends and receive a positive response for doing so.
I put them in the same category as the people who yell unprovoked insults at strangers while driving by them.

Thats what kids do when they can hide behind a computer moniter. Self respect seems to be missing from most of the rantings and comments. Which in turn shows why they never show much respect towards others. Its probably always going to be here. We just have to look at it like is nothing but background noise.

I blame Charles Darwin for the decline of morals in our society. No one else on earth except the devil himself has turned more people against the existence of God then he did and continues to do with his false teachings in our public schools.

You might be on to something! Insignificant, insecure, deriving pleasure in making fun of others, and then feeling superior, or at least not as insecure as before, I think you nailed it.
God bless.

Yes it would seem so. But then again isn't that satan's job to send distractions to take your focus off of the Real Prize ?
To bring offense ? Stay focused and remember we war not against flesh and blood. But against principalities and wickedness on high places...

That's why some people are here. I refer to them as the Peanut Gallery. And with every question, it's a sure ting that you'll hear from at least a few of them.

it's religion and spirituality. no group has a monopoly on either concept. atheists are as entitled to have opinions on religion as you are, and lack of belief does not imply lack of interest. if you can't take the heat, honey, get out of the kitchen.

Are you referring to that pretend-atheist who kept posting that insulting Merry Chrismas question? Atheists kept reporting him, the punk.

OUCH!!! I do agree with you but, people have there own opinion about things and feel that they have a right to express it regardless of who's feelings it hurts.

No, it make sad having to battle delusionally dangerous " believers " here. Why don't you join the the rational and make our load lighter?
