If you have a cable box you do not need to worry about it. If you are trying to pick up signals over the air then you will need a new TV of converter. I don't think you'll find any on the market just yet. Probably cheaper to just buy a new TV. Don't you want a new widescreen HD TV anyway?

I understand that they will cost from $44.99 to $50.00, But there will be vouchers given to households that request them.

I think you will be better off buying a HDTV. I only have SDTV's in my house and have been COMPLETELY blown away when I went to circuitcity and saw all the high definition content on those HDTV's.

It's going to be $40 (give or take a bit), but you can apply for a grant that will have the Government pay it for you...if you can't afford to pay.

I may be mistaken but I think they will be distributed for free or nearly free for those who need them.
Merry Christmas!
