Over the past two months I became friends with this girl in physics class. She always makes an effort to talk to me and be nice, and even made me a cd for me a while back after she asked me if I liked a band. She also copied notes for me and asked me my number recently, so we could study together. When we got done studying and I was walking to my car she stopped and picked me up and we talked in her car. We went and got coffee at school the next day after she waited a few mins for me to finish our exam. She also dropped out of her lab project group to be in mine after I couldn't get in hers. She then asked me to goto church with her recently, and we've studied together outside of school. In passing one time she said didn't want a relationship when talking about this guy from church that called her...we've been hanging out for a few weeks now at her house or going out to other places.

She's very much into christianity which I can deal with since I'm an agnostic leaning towards christianity, but I dunno if she would be very tolerant of some of the stuff I like - she didn't seem to enjoy me watching family guy at her house, even though she said "no offense if you like it". But, we get along great and we like alot of the same music and act similiarly. Everytime I invite her out to do something, she brings her sister (whom I've met before) or a friend...which I take as meaning she isn't interested in just being with me yet. After all this time she still hasn't said anything about becoming more, at all. I don't want to confront her unless I know for sure she likes me (and likes me for who I am), since I don't want to get attached and take this farther than it should. Is it normal for a girl to go through all this to get to know some guy she barely talks to in class? I am ok with being friends with her, I just wish it could be more.

She sounds like a wonderful person for a friend and more. For the time being, be nice, respectful and do lots of talking. We all need a friend like this. good luck.

Why don't you mention another female friend to her and see how she reacts? As in, show interest in another female and if she acts jealous then obviously she is in to you... if not then she just sees you as friends? Just a thought..
