You must be very young or new to English. Properly written your question should appear more like this: How many people died as a result of Noah's Flood. I see other logic flaws as well. Are you aware that you must be 13 years of age or older to take participate in Answers? There is NO evidence that such a flood occurred. You need to see the ramifications of such an idea. If there was a flood and it killed all the people except Noah's family, then all of the humans on Earth are descendants of Noah. Which of course is not true, and totally illogical. The majority of Christians now a days see Noah's story as a story of the Bible. And is used to tell children to behave and be good little Christian or else you'll all die in the next flood. It just adds more credence to the fact that the Bible is not a book of facts. It is indeed more mythological than anything else. Not to mention the rampant hypocrisy and out right fables.

JESUS said that the end of this age, the destruction of the unbelievers would be like it was in Noah's day. Research shows there were about 7 Billion people in Noah's day. The population today is about 7 Billion people. GOD gives us every answer about HIS WORD. Just ask HIM!

Interesting question: The 'worlds population' according to biblical accounts was about 5 million.
So you have to now ask why was only 8 saved? Think deeply, why were they obedient and the rest rebellious?
This is what Jesus said when referring to the end times. He said 'as in the days on Noah so will it be when I return.'
The answer is; they refused to believe in righteous Noah's message. This is the same today, many people refuse to believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit and because of this they will be destroyed, this time not with water but with fire.

The short answer is this:
- From a Biblical standpoint, everyone on earth died except 7 people. These people were: Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives.

In Genesis, the "death toll" from the flood is mentioned twice. Once in Genesis 6:13 and once in Genesis 6:17. The content of these verses varies greatly, depending on which translation of the Bible you use, so I'll post the verses as they appear in some of the more common versions of the Bible:

New International Version:
13 So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.
17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.

King James Version:
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

American Standard Version:
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
17 And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon this earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.

A conservative population growth calculation would place the population at the time of the flood as 7 billion people at least, perhaps it was even higher.
