Hi. Been there, but don't do it. It may all seem too much now but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I used to be depressed and suicidal and have been battling my substance abuse problem for half my life. I've been there and done that. Earlier today somebody was telling me that this time of the year has the highest suicide rate. It's really not worth it, trust me. You need to do a self analysis and find out why you feel the way you do. Are you lonely? low self esteem? how are you a screw up? Find out what your problems are, then tackle them down, one by one. there is a book I really want you to read. It's entitled "THE SECRET". This book has helped me A LOT and has become a very popular subject. Go go google.com and type in "the law of attraction". Read up on this and make sure you hit the bookstore and buy THE SECRET. I promise you won't regret it. Please don't do anything messed up. Live and learn. You'll become a very strong person and one day you'll help somebody like I'm helping you. You're already asking random people on the internet for help. That shows that you're reaching out. If you're reaching out to someone, you must have some hope, right? Keep your head up and I'm sure you'll do well in life. e-mail me at irahman5150@hotmail.com anytime and we can talk, OK. Take care and good luck.

Holidays are the worst when you are down. I don't have any wise advice. When I've been in your situation, I usually find something to get me through - maybe hanging out with my dog, lying in bed and thinking, go by myself to a movie, play guitar, break things - it seems like almost any distraction helps. Call a friend if anyone's awake.
With me, the only thing that helped in the long run was asking my doc for a prescription for antidepresants - I tried a few and they didn't work or had bad side effects, but finally found Wellbutrion, and my mood really changed.
Right now, you are at a turning point in your life - end it, endure it or change it. Make up your mind to change your life, and that gives you a purpose and direction. Maybe its only a tiny change like vowing to do something nice for someone else every day, starting tommorow.

I guess my answer to this would be why do you feel like a worthless person? Have you never done anything worthwhile in your whole life? Honestly, have you never been kind to anybody, or helped somebody when they needed it? Never made an accomplishment ever? I think you are being a little too hard on yourself. I'm not sure why you think you are a total screw-up, but if you are, than fix it. I know it's easier said than done, but if you need help, there are people around that can help you to full fill your goal to be a better person.
Why don't you try doing volunteer work? Give of yourself to help someone else, and you might just be helping yourself, too.

I've been there too. I promise you that if you will ask God to help you, he will! Please don't believe the garbage thoughts of you being worthless, your not!
God Loves you more than you can even realize. Jesus didn't take your place on the cross for nothing. He did it because you ARE worth it.
What you are feeling is just that, a feeling! It's an emotion that you cannot allow to take over. YOU must be in charge of that emotion.
You really do matter, even to me, and I don't even know you!
Please give God a chance, just cry out to him and tell him exactly how you feel and what your going through.
You've got to give him a chance-please. What have you got to lose? Think about it. If you don't try, then you are giving up and you can't do that.
Deep down you know you matter to someone, I'm sure even more people than you realize.
You CAN make it, I did!!! I poured out my heart to God and told him exactly how I felt.
He is right there for you, just waiting for you to come to him.
I promise you it WILL make a difference . I will whisper a prayer for you too as I'm sure others will do also. God Bless You and Merry CHRISTmas.

A lot of people feel this way around the holidays. I don't know what causes it, but you have to remember how much your friends and family mean to you and how much you mean to them. Life could be so much worse right now. You could have just lost a family member(I did) or be fighting cancer(my aunt is) or something. It's ok to be depressed tonight. Curl up in your bed and watch a sappy movie and cry your eyes out. Tomorrow when you wake up, it'll be a new day and you can start fresh. Hope this helps!

Not such a lot anymore, but if Bambi was once gambling at outside force-in theaters, many deer inadvertently witnessed this tragic movie, and phrase acquired round. Deer are touchy, smooth, blameless leaf consuming creatures and matters like this may depart an emotional scar that, reports have proven, can also be handed alongside as a meme to succeeding generations. Walt Disney is responsible.

This is the first year in 38 that I have not suffered from seasonal depression, mostly meaning Christmas.
I too at one time planned to jump in front of a car, and have done so many things that hurt myself. If you are really serious, you must go to your local hospital to talk to someone who can help you get through this trying time. If you can hang on through Christmas (it only lasts 24 hrs) you will have a chance to get the professional help you need to pull yourself together.
Little Sister, get yourself assessed. There is hope for you if you will give yourself a chance. Sometimes it is our depression that gives us the impression we are screw ups, when in actuality we are not. Do try to hang in. The worst is nearly over.

Don't do it. You're not a horrible, worthless person---You're a good person with a lot of potential. Get help---Talk to a relative or a friend, or call a hotline. There's always plenty of them in the phone books. E-mail me, if you like. If I can help, I will.
On January 13, 1986, I wanted to kill myself, too. I ended up getting through it and getting help, and my life has turned out better than I ever thought possible. Yours can, too, if you're able to get through tonight. With help, things can get better, I promise.
